My parents are originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, I was born in Germany, raised in Luxembourg and Metro-Detroit. I am a German-speaking black American, and people would never make that assumption about me.

    Hence my 6 words – Where’s the box for cultural diversity? So many assumptions based on the color of our skin and the shape of our faces while what makes us who we are goes much deeper – or wider across the globe.
