Why do you talk so proper?

The reason I choose these six words is because I don’t like how I am stereotyped to be un-educated and ghetto. I am a proud African American male in college and I am proud of the proper english that I use.

Its part of black peoples racism for white people. Due to their hatred of whites they practice self segregation. Part of that self segregation is to change as much as they can about themselves to be different than whites. Speaking broken English is one of their techniques for self segregation.

The way I see it, you are someone for which I hold a deep sense of admiration. By using the brain and ability you were given and taking advantage of the tools shown to you in life, you are making your way on a good path. If someone asks you that, tell them what you put in the description. Tell them that you are proud to be in college, and proud to speak proper, or normal (because there isn’t really a “proper” English), English.

You should never change how you speak for no one, because when you do, you are not being true to yourself. There are several of us at work that are well educated and speak “normal” English. It is very ignorant of one to think that black people suppose to talk like they have no sense of intelligence. Keep striving for greatness my friend.
