Only whites can end racism

endGay White,
W. Bloomfield, MI.

I am a product of the civil rights movement and I watched racism go underground until we had a Black President then it all started to rise to the surface we are only seeing what had always happened the difference is that we are going to have to teach then to fight properly or they will continually stand on our necks.

It’s always someone else to blame right? What a monumental achievement to have a non-white president elected NOT for his political views, foreign policy, or anything other than of THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN. No wonder you can’t advance, that’s how simplistic and absurd people like you think.

White woman also here in West Bloomfield agreeing with you. NO oppressed group has won real equality without authentic support of those who are enjoying privilege. LGBT folks need the support of the straight community, the differently abled need the support of the abled, non-Christians need the support of Christians…and people of color need the support of whites before racism will end. Those who benefit from privilege need to be willing to sacrifice it for real equity.

If perhaps people all banded together and acted as one this would change, but do not for one moment believe it is all one sided. Take a good hard look at some of the black Race baiters you think might be role models. Al Sharpton is a troublemaker who has somehow avoided jail for tax evasion, if he was white he would have already been brought into court but because he would cry racism and pulls the race card, he gets away with it? Another fine example of leading people astray, is Kenneth Stokes, a councilman in Jackson, MS, who advised people and I quote “What I suggest is we get the black leadership together, and as these jurisdictions come into Jackson we throw rocks and bricks and bottles at them. That will send a message we don’t want you in here,”. This is the kind of leadership that will tear our country apart, and get young people into trouble. Very irresponsible indeed!
This goes both ways and to blame others will never be the solution, we need to band together and work as adults to lead our children in a way that shows unity and love- not blaming each other for acts that many people have never undertaken. Stop the hate – before it’s too late!

…Racism is a subjective word…only “anybody” can change their own ignorance…

…doing that however, will not end the class or ignorance picture of frustration and indifference in society in general. Active, contributing Life in general requires a sense of fairness and compromise that some are just not equipped to provide…that equals conflict…greed…= conflict…getting there first and holding on?…conflict…there is settlement too…the civilized do that!

Only whites can end racism in whites. Only blacks can end racism in blacks. Only native americans can end racism in native americans.
All communities have bias towards others that they should work on.

the president is as much white as he is black…and that shouldn’t matter.
