My viewpoint comes from living in America (especially during this time of social and political unrest) as a mixed-race individual. I have experiences and family ties with two races that are seemingly at arms against each other, but I can’t (and, don’t) completely identify with one or the other. Instead, I am stuck in between the two – conflicted on how to feel, who to trust, and how to work toward a community and society that respects and values all people.
