Female Chicana, not from Mexico/Philippenes

When people see me, I am often confused as Filipino or from Mexico. People will speak to me in Spanish or Tagalog. It’s a bit frustrating only because when I tell people that I don’t speak Tagalog people question my honesty with them. Or, when I tell people that my Spanish is horrible and not my first language people will ask where I was born. CBU HIS311
