As a little girl I was always told “you have such pretty hair” and then with that i was asked what are you? As a kid I never thought about it until I got older. It wasn’t until I was in High School that that phrase used to bug me. At times I wanted to say ” I’m Mixed Why, do you have a problem with that. Another part of me wanted to say whats it to you. I eventually uttered my mix nationalities and politely walked away. It made me uncomfortable. I am very proud of my mixed race and do not hide them
