It may not all be sunshine and rainbows when you are in the minority group, but it has its benefits for sure. I am a Hispanic young male and let me tell you, I have been exposed to many new and different experiences because I am within a minority group. I am within a science program that recruits minorities because the main purpose is to get minority groups into the STEM fields and the program itself has exposed me to many new and different things. There are more to being a minority and you can’t let the hurtful things get to you, focus on the positive, ya know?
