I’m allowed to wear a hoodie.

I realized this today when I walked out of the grocery store, into the rain, and pulled up my hood so that I wouldn’t get too wet while walking to my car. I’m a petite white woman; even with my hood pulled over my head, I’m not perceived as a potential threat.
