I’m Not African American, Just American

I don’t know why black folks in America want to be considered African American. There are many traits that make us different and the fact remains that we are born here in America. White folks don’t say “I’m European American”, so blacks or any other ethnic group that is born here in the U.S. should just consider yourself American. Also, there is evidence that “African Americans” are actually Native Americans.
