Know who you are, be proud.

Cole,
Nashville, TN.

A lot of my family comes from Spain and Latin America. And I take pride in that. Every once in a while there is one person that is stuck with stereotypes of what Latinos should look like. I’m part Hispanic, the person said to me “You don’t look Latino, your not dark” That person pointed to my friend Esteban and said “You would look like him” What she said made me feel lost and angry. I don’t know why people think that all Latinos should look “dark” I’m part Hispanic that doesn’t mean I’m going to be dark. I know who I am and I’m proud of it.
