Racism is part of our DNA

Russ Becker,

My cousin, who grew up on a farm in central Indiana, was a farmer and an exceptionally nice guy. In his thirties he started dating a lovely gal who also grew up on a farm nearby. After several years of dating they developed a deep love for one another and decided to get married. Upon announcing their plans to her father, he became incensed and forbid his daughter from marrying my cousin. Although my cousin was also a Christian, he was not a Baptist. They honored her father’s wishes and separated. Six years later the father passed away. Shortly thereafter my cousin reunited with his girlfriend, and he married the love of his life.
