Love, Hate, and everything in between

Its easier to hate those who are different from yourself rather than embrace what makes them who they are. Instead people need to focus on the love for the beauty of being who you are. It goes deeper than just saying I don’t see people based on race. Its saying I see you for who you are and accepting that race doesn’t define every aspect of a person. -DMACC Student
I often feel like a colonist
Alesia Hassan,

I am a student at DMACC in Iowa, completing my Sociology endorsement credits. I chose the words “I often feel like a colonist” because they describe the guilt I feel when I look around my community and my state, named after the Ioway tribe, and never see any native people.
