Ivy League, Indian Asian American aspiration

Education is what helped us get to this country and therefore for most Asian Indian families it still remains the top goal for their children, and education at a Ivy league school is what the focus is on starting as early as 7th grade. Study hard and develop a work ethic that comes with it. If you look around during the graduation season you will notice the top performers in most high schools in the nation are from Asian families, it is not because they talented, it is only because of focus of the family on education.

Becoming Hasidic was a feminist choice.

My biggest aspiration at age eighteen was to get into a good college, but once I got there, all I found was one big drugged out meat market. After two disastrous relationships, I dropped out and began exploring my Jewish roots. I found that contrary to popular belief, Orthodox Judaism honors women. It’s one of the few societies around today where being a “good girl” doesn’t make you a prudish nerd, but a person worthy of respect.
