We can build skyscrapers, put a man on the moon, we consider ourselves so intelligent, but we can’t figure out how to get along. What a shame!

“An Intelligent, Independent African American Women!”
Malikah Black,

Based on stereotypes and neither are my sisters. The media instantly judge African American Women on their many failures, but what about their success? You’re most likely to hear about the statics of African American Women getting pregnant in 2015 on social media than those who graduated from college or trade school. I oppose the writings of Peggy McIntosh’s in ‘White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Back Pack,’ because as a child I even knew the privileges “European Americans” had and I’m pretty sure they did too. Their taught the way of knowing what they have through their history similar to how I was taught. I was raised to understand my history, and understand how my ancestors were Kings and Queens taken from their homeland to unwillingly work for “European Americans.” I’m not upset one day our intelligent, independent African American Women will be given back our crown. We will welcome the day our privileges will be restored, and we will not be based on “their” stereotypes anymore.

Intelligent and black, hated for that.
This is because the two of the men in my life have dismissed me because I do not fit the ideals of what an ideal women should look like. Their spouses dismiss, disrespect my existence. My father and younger brother believe that white people are the epitome of all that is right, just and beautiful in the world. But I am far more intelligent per IQ than their spouses. They have allowed them to challenge me and I have respectfully placed them in their presences. Because of my skin tone they (father and brother) stopped speaking to me. My brother openly told people he is embarrassed by my existence. His wife publicly stated she hates black women, because they are stupid, nasty and lazy.
African Americans are second class citizens

Most of us will not admit that we are biased against black, African Americans. We are not intelligent enough to understand that most of our racism is due to ignorance and fear of our society, government, and culture. Instead of targeting the real sources of our problems (government, corporations, extremist groups) in this great United States of America, we attack those who we believe cannot harm us. In other words, we abuse those who we perceive to be weaker than us: blacks, women, children, elderly. We have severe psychological problems in this country. Alowwing cops to carry guns without extreme psychological testing and without police supervisors who are dedicated to “protecting and serving” we the people (instead of the political structure and the corporations) is a real problem.
Black America has Proven Me Wrong
Dave R.
Oakland County, MI
Black America has proven me wrong. When I was young and dumb, I believed racism was the realm of idiots and red-necks. As I have grown older, I see the culture of Black America is little more than a drain on society. They and them are words I never thought I would use to describe other Americans. You see, my mother was an inner-city school teacher and the Black Americans I grew up knowing were well educated and intelligent. These individuals, I’ve come to discover are the exception in Black America.
Black America is defined by laziness, violence, entitlement and poverty and their leaders brain wash them into believing this paradigm is legitimate. Their leaders allow them to believe that their poverty is not their fault. Their leaders allow them to believe that their violence is not their fault. Their leaders instill in them entitlement.
My message to Black America: Nobody owes you anything. Nobody will make you successful except for you. You are in control of your destiny. Until you figure these three things out your sons will continue killing each other and your children will continue going hungry.
