I am a teacher and they try to tell us that we all have bias. In 11 years I have only kicked 3 kids out of class and none have been African American. They told me if I took “this test” I would be surprised, guess what, no bias. Screw them and their test. Why can’t we just see people as people. Let’s just all marry inter-racially and we’ll just all blend.

This is the best way I can be the change I want to see. I don’t ever want to be a racist and not know it, so I always make a conscious effort to remind myself that racism exists, and every action can help erase it.
I treat blacks differently, with empathy

I am not the friendliest person, often don’t answer the question “How are you?” when asked by clerks, but if the clerk is black, I am always friendly. I do not want the person to feel slighted, that I was acting out of racism.
