p>I am a student at Southeastern Community College. I have cousins that are mixed and going out in public feels weird because of how people act. People will come up and talk to me and ask me “are you finding everything ok?” but they won’t talk to them almost as if they don’t even see them.

People assume I understand Chinese culture and heritage because I am half Chinese, when really I know nothing about it. I was born and raised in a majority Caucasian society, and my parents have raised me according to the culture around me.
