White skin means lack of heritage.

Laura Berbusse

I feel like I neither have, nor have the right to have, a rich, cultural heritage. Further, I feel like I am not allowed to participate in other people’s heritage, since it is for their consumption and perpetuation only; I would be seen as an imposter, there only to exploit. I feel like something is missing inside me.
