Thought being “not racist” was enough

For all my life, I thought being not racist and having friends, mentors, and thought-partners of all colors was enough. Its been just recently that I have learned that is simply not enough and will not allow true equality to ever happen. We need to actively lean in, learn, wake up, debate, speak up, vote, fight, temporarily discriminate superiority, so we can make space and room for equality.
