Matt Carozza.
As a young American Jew, in a time where Jewish persecution doesn’t come up much, it’s easy to forget what my ancestors went through during the Holocaust. I am sadden that when I was younger, I didn’t know to ask more about my ancestors experiences during those troubling times. It’s wild to think that just a few generations ago, people very similar to me were being murdered en masse for their beliefs. During these tumultuous times, it’s easy to imagine parallels between then and now, but I would love to be able to ask my late family members about their experiences and their thoughts.
