I come from a very diverse ethnic family, my father is from Holland and my mother was born in raised in Honduras but comes from a Palestinian heritage. I was an ESL child when I started elementary and my name was not American so I remember all too well how it felt to be picked on for “being” different. I know the pain and suffering my Palestinian family has endured as well. I believe that God made and loves us all! We all bleed red, right?!
