I have been proud of being black ever since I can remember. I love how we come in all hues. I cringe when I hear a Black person say we did not choose to be Black; or there’s nothing we can do about our skin color. Why would you want to change it? What I know is that we should be proud of our skin color and revel in it. We are here, Black, proud, human and equal. I wouldn’t change my skin color. What must change is racism, systemic and social.
