A lot of black woman are taught as little girls that our hair cannot be all over our heads. We start getting our hair relaxed and straightened with hot combs at a very early age because that is what we are taught is the professional look. But no more. We are in the era of embracing our natural hair. We should be proud of the hair we were blessed with instead of trying to alter it to fit in with society’s standards.
