I am 25% Native American/75% Native American, I am married to a wife who is Costa Rican. She is of 50% Indigenous and 50% German Heritage. I have a step daughter who is 33% African american/33% Hispanic/33% White. My two biological children are half white and half hispanic. All of this could have meaning for me and allow me to be victim to other groups of people. I choose to not let it mean anything. I also think we are going to have to find a way to have empathy for those who are holding a deep racist judgement. The only way forward is being able to put ourselves in their shoes and then being there to help them through what happened to create this idea for them.
