Underestimating my role in race relations

As a 73 year old white woman who grew up on Chicago’s South Side, I was oblivious to the racial injustice in my midst. As my experiences grew, however, so did my awareness. With the murder of George Floyd, my awareness exploded! My husband and I are ready to march for justice. What took us so long?
