You’re Mexican? But we’re so similar?

I always meet a ton of people that get very surprised that I’m Hispanic since I’m not short or dark-skinned . I’ve also surprised plenty of people at work the moment I ‘d speak Spanish over the phone with my parents. I’m very well immersed in my Hispanic culture and am not ashamed or embarrassed to show it , but I’ve also been Americanized and I consider myself American first. That is the reason I talk, dress, and even listen to many of the same things as everyone else. Hopefully this will help people give a person that might not have the luck of “looking white” and give them chance since we’re not all stereotypes or color.
