I am BLACK & PROUD, always & forever.

Lauryn Fleming,
Richmond, VA

p>I feel as a black community we lack being prideful of who we truly are due to society. The saying “black and proud” simply means to embrace your culture and not feel less than just because you are of a certain race, especially of African decent. There comes times where it can feel hard and overwhelming of who you are as a race, but I must never let that bring me down. I am smart, beautiful, talented… I am enough.
