I value CULTURE more than race.

I think race and culture are used as synonyms entirely too much. I think the distinction between race and culture is important, and that we must stop using one word when we mean to use the other. I am an African-American woman, proud of both my race and my culture. Although my race and culture are intertwined, there are NOT the same.
