Breathing their stolen breaths, I ache

Charlotte Kuiper,
Sheldon, IA

The reason I chose “breathing their stolen breaths, I ache” is because of the history back then. All the lives that were taken just because of the color of the individuals’ skin. Putting myself in other peoples shoes make me ache because they cannot control what they look like. No one should had to have gone through that and still to this day. Sheldon High School.
