Afghani, Moroccan, Puerto Rican. Mastering Jedi Skills.

Our 6 year old daughter is trying to find her way with culture and beliefs that feels best for her. I was raised by my Jewish Afghani mother (who is came out when she was 40) and my father who is Moroccan (Was Jewish, now Atheist) . My husband was raised by Christian Puerto Ricans that are now Born Again Christians.

Last holiday season she was asking a lot of question of God and religion. We explained to her everyone believes what feels good to them. What gives them hope. After she thought about it for a moment. She said she believes in the Force from Star Wars. And Karma. We ended up having a Star Wars themed holiday card. 🙂
