Why is it that blacks can have their own history month, their own channels, their own scholarships, their own culture…but when i take pride in being white i am “racist”. If i were to say there should be a white television channel that would be “unfair”. If i said whites deserved scholarships just for being white that would be an extension of “white privilege”. If i were to say whites need their own history month they would say “every month is white history month”. Every month is NOT white history month. In fact when i was in school we spent an enormous amount of time studying america as it dealt with slavery. I am proud to be white and i think white people need to RISE UP and take no shame in indulging in their OWN culture and not someone else’s.
