When I travel, especially to Arkansas or to a place that is considered a rural area, the people there automatically think I am a prude and that I do not do things on my own. They call people from Kansas “City Folk”, including my grandparents. My grandparents introduce me as their granddaughter from the City and the other person’s whole demeanor changes and the people there act like I am an outsider and that I have never seen a pasture or even a farm.
