The ideas behind whites being inherently privileged, regardless of all the nuances that make up human life, are often untrue since privilege and class is a lot more complicated than you make it. And even if it were totally “correct”, only serves to alienate possible allies from the struggle of people of colour. If you want white allies, cut the white privilege, white guilt garbage. If not, good luck on your own! I couldn’t care less if you think this is a privileged position for me to take, it very well may be, but it has mine and my family’s best interests at heart (we’re White- I don’t want an anti-white environment for my kids MORE THAN I want to help coloured people with their struggle)
