Never judge a book by cover…

I am very white with a little Native, but I have never allowed that to define me. I ask before I assume. In my experience, it is cultures that create conflict, not race. People fear what they do not understand. I have dear friends in every race and most cultures because I address them each as unique. I face that fear every day by looking for similarities and taking the time to ask and understand. I open the book on the people around me before I make assumptions based on appearances. That is not confrontation in spite of conflict, that is showing respect and taking the time to know people. I was raised to never judge a book without reading the whole thing…
