Joy was adopted at the age of 11 from an abusive home in Korea into a loving family in California. Now a rebellious alcoholic in her 20s, she is homesick for a home that doesn’t want her and unable to feel truly a part of her adoptive family. She returns to Korea, determined to reunite with her little sisters that she was forced to leave behind years ago. Her homecoming a disappointment, and her self-destructive behavior sabotaging her music career, Joy reluctantly turns to her American family for help. With their support, she cultivates strength and the ability to accept love. For the first time in her life she has found home.
