The Race Card Project by Michele Norris is proud to partner with Indiana University South Bend!
Join fellow students, staff, faculty and community members in expressing your feelings, thoughts, opinions and experiences about race, inclusion and identity using six words. Yes, that’s right: six words. To get started, check out what others have said and then fill out your own six-word story. Invite your friends and colleagues to be part of the conversation, too. Come back often. The wall is ever-changing and the inbox is always open.
You may not agree with everything you read, but you will learn about life as lived by someone else in our community. We hope this space will help encourage reflection, spark further dialogue and foster a stronger sense of belonging. Michele Norris said it best: “Words are how we find our way to each other.”
There will also be multiple on-campus opportunities to fill out six-word stories on printed race cards. See them displayed in an IU South Bend on-campus exhibit later this fall entitled, Identity + Inclusion – Bridges to Belonging.
We look forward to seeing your story!
