Latinos overlooked in conversation on race

Brenda Ramirez,

You would think that only White and Black people exist in this country. What about the rest of us? There is no outcry for Latinos who are shot, harassed, discriminated against, whose families are torn apart and whose children are locked up in detention centers. When will we matter in America? When will people be outraged about what happens to Latinos in this country? Will they ever be? Had it been a Latino killed by police officers, would the uproar be the same as what we’re seeing now with George Floyd? Sadly, I doubt it.
