Mother of black son, sleepless nights

Maureen Allen,
New Hempstead, NY.

I think what I’m trying to say is that I worry all the time about my son. Will he be safe? Can I keep him safe? Every night I fall asleep worried. It never leaves me. There’s no peace in this country as a parent as long as racism continues to grow. It keeps me on edge.
