Both of my parents are Mexican but my dad has lighter complected skin while my mom has darker. I’ve been asked before many times if my dad is Filipino. When I tell people he’s not, some ask “Are you sure?” Yes, I’m sure I know what my dad is. I personally don’t think he looks Filipino like others say he does. Sometimes people will ask him as well and he kind of laughs and tells them he’s not because he doesn’t think he looks Filipino either. When people ask, he takes it light heartedly but that could be an offensive question to someone else.
