Out of many, one people is the Jamaican national motto. Most people look at me and think I am bi-racial, but both of my parents are Jamaican and I identify as a strong black woman. I do recognize and celebrate the beautiful mixture of people (nationalities and ethnicity) that have brought me forth and believe more people should study their lineage to better understand who they are.
