Separate and unequal still exists!

I am African American. More than 40 years ago, my parents took me out of the public school and enrolled me inan almost all white parochial school because the public school in my racially segregated neighborhood was so awfu. Six years ago, I moved from an integrated neighborhood to an almost all white neighborhood because the decent public schools available to my child in our integrated neighborhood were so limited. My daughter is now in an excellent public school — but we had to move.
