During the yearly Macy’s parade, my mom, my sisters and I sat watching the parade from our couch. As is normal for any free streaming service, there were ads. One ad in particular caught my mom’s attention. It was a clothing ad, and there was a wide variety of diversity in the people modeling it. She was not happy with this. She went on a rant for the rest of the ad break that the diversity in ads is not accurate because the diverse people being shown were in the minority and “they don’t need more representation”.
