I am white and my husband is black. We have 2 biracial kids and yes of course I think they are beautiful but it is always interesting to me how when I am out in public with just me and my children I don’t get comments about their appearance but when my husband is with us so many white people make comments to us that our children “are beautiful” as if to say to me “I approve… I am not one of those racist white people” It has always struck me as odd as to how it comes off. I have never felt the need to come up to strangers and tell them how beautiful their kids are. It is just odd to me.
