Can’t always speak for the group

AARP Empathy For Impact

I’ve often been in rooms and spaces where I must speak for the entire group of people who look like me. I’ve grown comfortable with that, but there are many who do not, and they should not be forced to do so.

People need to do their own research, and not rely on the one person who’s nearby to represent the entire group.
