Abigail Macy,
Zimbabwe.
I am a white American living in Zimbabwe. It never ceases to amaze me how much racism I experience, how much prejudice there is against white people. It bothers me that things such as a dance are classified as “white” or “black”. I hear things like, “Oh, you can’t do that, you’re white!” all the time, and I think it is time that we move past our pigmentation and look at what we can actually do. It’s OK if somebody can’t do something, but let’s just not stereotype and say that the person can’t do it because of their race.
