Too many confuse class struggle with racial privilege and it causes them to deny and/or actively oppose the idea that they have any privilege at all. Just because some minorities can excel or some white people are poor in our capitalistic society doesn’t mean that there still are not institutional, societal, and cultural obstacles that minorities face that are as minor as being assumed to be good at math to as major as being assumed to be a criminal for being the wrong color in the wrong neighborhood. To deny privilege is to deny truth.
