Anderson Dahdouh.
As a first generation American, much of my interaction with society has come on the front that people, in general, fear what they do not know. Finding commonality early on in relationships helped establish some of the strongest bonds that still stand today. Learn the food of new cultures, and embrace how these dishes came to be. Listen to new languages, and be willing to understand that your native tongue has roots from across the globe. Who you were born as, does not equal what you are capable of becoming. The willingness to learn, is the key for all of us to feel “belonging.”
