I am more than my culture

Eric Arellano
Denver, CO

Being Mexican has always been tough love for me, I have been bullied and given a stereotype that labels me as a gardner, a trumpeteer with a Mariachi Band, or a Peleta Man who sells Ice Cream out of carts. I am none of these, I am a dancer with a professional company and a Violist with the Denver School of the Arts Orchestra. I am more than my stereotype, I am and artist. I am Mexican.
