We aren’t given the same voice and representation as everyone else, even though we have just as interesting of a history, if not even more fascinating. This is a blessing and a curse. We don’t have role models or an image, but at the same time, that has proven to be a strength since it has also enabled many of us to blaze our own trails. We find and define our own ideals of self, rather than any preconceived notions of how others see us. we came here, We hold jobs, hold ourselves for accountable, and have proven to be productive members of US society without special help or considerations.
