When I was young, I remember days when I wished I wasn’t. Anglos seemed to have the best of everything and I wondered how it would be. I remember my first job as a teen. I was hired to type. She had me sharpen 200 pencils because (and she later admitted) she did not know what to do with me. Couldn’t play basketball that well in college, but always got picked by the Anglo majority. The stereotypes live on.
