Mauricio Moreyra.
At some point in my life, I noticed I emphasized my vowels the same way my mother does. I repeat jokes I’ve heard from my best friend. I intonate my sarcasm the same way my grandfather does (and unfortunately dance the same too). Especially during quarantine, being alone has never been more significant. But noticing the subtle ways that my speech, thoughts, and actions are influenced by the people who love me have made me feel less alone, like I’m with them always.
